STEPNEY & GREENSLADE IN THE FRAME FOR THE WORLD INDOOR PAIRS TITLE

The new pairing of Mike Stepney from Elgin in the North of Scotland and Jason Greenslade - who now goes under the Guernsey banner, maintained their steady form and great run of results to bag the second semi-final result and secure their place in the @Imagine Cruising World Indoor Bowls Pairs Championship final on Monday 16th of January at 1pm.

Just a short time ago they ended the hopes of English qualifiers Perry Martin and Jamie Walker 7-6, 10-1.

The first set could have gone either way, but Stepney and Greenslade held off a strong English finish, to win 7-6.

The second set just ran away from the Englishmen though as the Scot/Guernsey combo opened up a 7-0, four end lead.

Martin and Walker briefly rallied with a single on the fifth end but a single followed by a double put the result out of sight at 10-1 and sent the new pairing into next week’s final against twice former winners Greg Harlow and Nick Brett.

Match Result -

Michael Stepney (Sco) & Jason Greenslade (GGY) beat Perry Martin & Jamie Walker (Eng) 2 - 0 (7-6, 10-1)
