NEW TEAM OF REDNALL & FOSTER MOVE THROUGH TO THE FINAL OF THE WORLD MIXED PAIRS

With five Mixed Pairs titles between them with different partners, Norwich's Katherine Rednall with one and Scot Paul Foster with four, are looking to add to this tally after they came through a close match against Malaysia's Farrah Ain Abdullah and Scotland's Stewart Anderson in the first of the Ambassador Cruise Line World Mixed Pairs semi-finals earlier today.

The Malaysia/Scotland combo got off to a good start with a double followed by a single to lead 3-0. However Rednall/Foster found their groove and scored on six of the remaining seven ends to take and early one set advantage.

In the second, Farrah/Anderson kept themselves in contention with a maximum of only two shots separating the teams throughout the set.

The score line stood in Rednall/Foster's favour at 6-4 after eights ends, leaving Farrah/Anderson requiring a treble to force a tie break decider but an unlucky connection could only yield a double for them and they missed out. 10-3, 6-6 and by one and a half sets to a half.

The final will be shown on BBC Television on Tuesday 21st January from 1pm.
