AMBASSADOR CRUISE LINE WORLD INDOOR OPEN PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIP - Session 1
January 10th - Day 1
Hong Kong's Jason Choi and Po Ting Hei, both from the Kowloon Cricket Club, survived a dramatic tie break decider against Canadian duo David Llewellyn and Gary Pickering in the first match of this year's @Ambassador Cruise Line World Open Pairs Championship.
The Chinese pairing dropped the first set 7-9, but held their nerve in the second, scoring a double and single over the last two ends to win the set 9-6 and force a best of three end tie break.
Winning the first end and then holding a match winning position, Choi moved the jack fractionally with his last bowl and that in turn saw them lose the end on the closest of measures to square the tie break at one end apiece. However they redeemed themselves on the winner take all last end to book a second round place against ranked players and defending champions Stewart Anderson and Darren Burnett at 2pm tomorrow afternoon (Saturday 11th January).
World Open Pairs - Prelim Round
Jason Choi & Po Ting Hei (HKC) beat David Llewellyn & Gary Pickering (Can) 2-0 (7-9, 9-6, 2-1)
