ENGLAND v SCOTLAND FINAL FOR THE OPEN WORLD UNDER 25 SINGLES

England's Rebecca Moorbey and Darren Weir from Scotland will battle it out for the Imagine Cruising World Indoor Bowls Under 25 Singles title tonight (Saturday 20th January) in the International Arena at Potters Resorts Hopton-On-Sea - with the final scheduled to be shown on BBC TV at 7.30pm.

This morning Moorbey took the scalp of Daniel Pool - the champion for the past two years.

In a match of outstanding quality, Moorbey trailed 4-0 after just two ends, but she scored eight shots over five of the remaining seven ends to take the opening set 8-6.

Poole though came on strong in the second, stringing together a succession of nine shots between the fourth to eighth ends and he in turn won 11-2 but the 23 year old Bowls Administrator from Cambridgeshire played the perfect tie break to win 2-0 and take her place in the final tonight.

In the second semi - Scotland's Darren Weir, who has lost to Daniel Pool for the last two years, went head to head with Jack East from Perth in Australia, and he ran away with the first set against a very nervous Aussie - 12-5.

East though, who played in the WBT mainstream Scottish International Open, settled in the second, taking a 5-3, six end lead, but Weir wrapped up the set with a 1, 2 and 3 finish to win 9-5 for a straight sets victory to set up his tilt at the title.
