Mark Dawes comes from a hybrid bowls background in that, as well as having enjoyed great title success both indoors and out, and being one of the World Bowls Tour's most dangerous draw bowlers, he's also a competitive Crown Green bowler in his native Lancashire.
2018 and 2021 were exceptional seasons for Mark where he claimed both the World Open Singles and World Open Pairs title in the same year. His partnership with Jamie Chestney in recent years has particularly marked them out as challengers for years to come.
His consistently high level of performances have meant opponents have struggled to contain him in recent years and he is fast becoming the player you have to beat to win the title.
His most recent success came in March 2022 when he took the inaugural UK Open title at Stanley.
