After a few years of consistent performances, Jamie Chestney's World Bowls Tour breakthrough came with victory at the 2017 International Open, a year after finishing runner-up to David Gourlay in the same event.

He's made his way towards the top of the Tour rankings the hard way, starting his journey by earning tournament spots through the tough Professional Bowls Association qualifiers before knocking out seeded players in the main draw.

He has won two World Open Pairs titles alongside Mark Dawes and won the World Mixed Pairs title with Lesley Doig. He is widely regarded as the best player to not have captured the World Singles championship yet and his case for winning that crown gets stronger with every passing season.
